Hi all,
I am not so sure about the correct usage of this informal expression:
"Sing it"
My guess was that it is supossed to denote full agreement, as in:
"Our team played so well!"
"Sing it, brother. The best game of the season!"

Is this correct? (though really casual)
Thank you.

It's not an expression I'm familiar with and it sounds informal, but I agree with what you think.

It sounds like they are proud of their team and want to tell people how good they are.

Maybe it's American English, any American in the house?

Thanks!

I can't say it's a common expression, and I don't think I've ever used it, but I know intuitively what it means.

It's like "you're singing the gospel truth" or "what you said is certainly true!"

It doesn't carry any sense of telling others how good they are -- it's just denoting strong agreement, as you figured out from the context.
