    Cool it's time....

    I told my English teacher "It is time we go". But she said "It is time we went". She said past tense should be used in "it is time..."
    I forgot ask her why...
    Could you help me, please? :) thanks

    It's not the indicative simple past tense. It's subjunctive. It does, however, have the same form as the simple past tense.
