checking of a few sentences 7

    Dear teacher,

Would you be kind enough to check out the plausibility of the following sentences?

    She encouraged me to leave.

    Who encouraged his taking drugs?

It encouraged me to learn that they had promised to help.

In your place I should encourage his interest in algebra.

He was encouraged at the news.

She was encouraged by his example.

She I was encouraged to do the same.

Your appreciation of my work encourages me greatly.

I was encouraged to see such excellent results.

I should like to discourage her from buying these things.

The news discouraged him so much that he couldn’t say a word.

Everything ended well owing to his courage.

They had no courage to tell the truth.

He never had the courage to meet danger calmly.

Try again, don’t let one failure discourage you.

She is a very courageous woman, she saved lives of many wounded people during the war.

They encouraged the people to hostility.

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

Re: checking of a few sentences 7

I would rephrase some of the sentences , but they are all OK except:

It was encouraging to me to learn that they had promised to help.
She I (?) was encouraged to do the same.
