Hi All,

I here is what I wrote yesterday to improve my written English. It is simply the narration of one of the party I attained. Please let me know the good structure for the sentences and also grammar part..

-----------------------

I was very excited for a mom’s meet up at last weekend. Firstly my husband was volunteered to baby sit for my children. Secondly driving on highway was fascinating me. It’s because I hardly get a chance to drive on high way as its always my husband who takes up this responsibility. So it could be a wonder full chance to practice driving all alone without kids and husband. My husband is not so generous always when it comes to baby-sit but since this party is of his interest as his boss’s wife was also joining to this party. And it’s always better to have a good relation with the boss’s family.

I made a cake for the party and moved on well ahead of time as highway driving is always been nerve-racking so far for me. I reached on time. I had a warm welcome from the group as it was the first time for me to meet-up the group. I joined this group a year ago but never got a chance to meet them in person. Though, I had been involved in all the group emails.

Being new to the group, people were interested in knowing me and about my family. To start the talking, one lady asked me, “How many kids do you have?”. I replied,” two” and prepared instantly with the forthcoming questions regarding the kid’s age, schooling etc. Contrary to this, the other lady finished the conversation stating, “So you are all done”. Every one started laughing and I also joined them.

Thanks in advanced

I'd like to add two points:

I was very excited for a mom’s meet up...
for - about

moved on well ahead of time - started off

nerve racking - nerve wrecking

What would be difference between

"My husband was ready to take of my husband".

and

"My husband took /(had taken) care of my children"

What would be (the) difference between

"My husband was ready to take care of my [STRIKE]husband[/STRIKE]" children.

ready - prepared but has not done it yet
and

"My husband took /(had taken) care of my children"

too/had taken care - done, action completed
