Abstract
Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-positron emission tomography (PET) is normally used to stage and monitor response to therapy in Hodgkin’s disease patients. A literature review of published articles pertaining to Hodgkin’s disease and FDG-PET imaging was conducted. The objective of this review was to determine the role of FDG-PET in the diagnosis and treatment of Hodgkin’s disease. Articles were selected based on their abstracts .The literature review clearly demonstrated the importance of the use of FDG-PET in the staging and monitoring of Hodgkin disease. FDG-PET definitely plays a very important role in the diagnosis and treatment of Hodgkin’s disease.
