What is the meanig of in-house translator?

I was asked if or not I was a in-house translator.
I guess he was meanig whole-time translator as against part-time translator. I looked up the dictionary and couldn't find that meaning.

In-house means that you specifically work for the company for which you do the work, as opposed to being freelance.

Some companies, when they need something translated, have to employ a private translator from outside the company, simply for the period of time required for the translation. If they choose to employ someone to work for them all the time, then that person would be the "in-house translator".
