    transcripts correction

    Hi, teachers.

The following are transcripts of the attached records.
I found them quite hard to understand. Are there any mistakes in the text?

    01
And the Islamists know better than to attack the Baber's civilian's fears clan loyalties would see the fundamentalists surf the mountains if they start to kill the locals.

    02
The Barber region is the focal point for the army's battle against the militants, as well as the burning forests as a military convoy slandering past and columns of nervous looking soldiers watching up the mountains to hunt down the perpetrators of recent attacks.

    Hi, Teacher Emsr2d2.

Berber is a place name in Algeria. I'm not sure about its spelling.

The attached audio files are excerpts from BBC news. The transcript is probably made by some English lovers.

Do you know whether BBC publish offical transcripts of their news program?

I haven't been able to find any information about official transcripts. They're currently running a trial of putting subtitles on the technology program that they show online, but not for any other news programmes at the moment.

You could email the BBC and ask them! Link to their contact/FAQ page is here:
