Please correct the grammar and the sentence's structures here

Mainer it might have happened with you also. I and my husband planed to go to a temple with our two children. The temple was quite far away from my place; around 30 miles. It was a nice sunny weather of spring after a long winter. We headed to the temple in the wee hours of the morning around 10am. We all were very excited. After reaching the temple we came (or had come come) to know that few of the cultural activities had been(or were) lined up for that day. Therefore we went to the ground floor where these activities had already started. We enjoyed few of them to its fullest but couldn’t stay for longer as children were not enjoying as much. Then we came on the first floor to worship the God. After the worship, the Prasad was distributed and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. We were half stuffed with this Prasad.
