    Question Functions of communication

    Hi, everybody!
I have some questions about “functions of communication”. Can anyone help me out?
    1. – “I like your new hat”
    A. Do I B. So do I C. I don’t either D. I like not
I know that the answer is “ B. So do I”. How about “C. I don’t either.” If I replace “C” with “I don’t”, then is it correct?
    2. _____________ I carry that bag for you” – Oh, thank you
    A. Do B. Shall C. Will D. Would
    I opt C. Why not “B”?
    3. – “It’s heavy. ________________ I carry it for you?”
    A. Should B. Might C. Would D. Will
I opt D. Is this right?
    4. “___________ I ask you a question?
    A. Will B. Shall C. May D. Do
Is “C. May” the best choice?
    Many thanks in advance.

Only B is correct. Yes, "I don't" would be a correct answer.

    2. _____________ I carry that bag for you” – Oh, thank you
    A. Do B. Shall C. Will D. Would
    I opt C. Why not “B”?
    B is correct.

    3. – “It’s heavy. ________________ I carry it for you?”

It's as good as any of the choices, though "May", "Can" or "Shall" are better. A. is possible.

    4. “___________ I ask you a question?
    A. Will B. Shall C. May D. Do
Is “C. May” the best choice?
Yes. But the others could be right in other contexts.
    Many thanks in advance.
    This is a poor test.
