Is there ellipsis in this sentence?

I was thinking yes, instead of 'After that' it could be 'After [we got the mortgage], we made an offer on the house.'

    Is this correct?
    I had posted the suggestion:

But still I don't know whether this is the correct answer.

I don't think the referent of "that" is an ellipsis, since nothing is really left out - it's referred to by "that".

Yes, technically, "mortgage" is an ellipsis here. But it's not a very impressive one.

Thanks Raymott, I really needed a confirmation from a respectful academic.
It was not that easy for me to figure it out.

But I didn't know ellipses could be graded by impressiveness.

Still I can't understand why the original thread disappeared.
It seems the OP posted also on yahoo answers but the question has been deleted.
I wonder what could be so dangerous in a ellipsis.
