    than any other classmate's

Does the dialogue sound natural to native English speakers? Which is/are the answer(s) to the question?
—What do you think of Jim's schoolwork?
—His schoolwork is better than _____ in his class.
    A any classmate's B any other classmate's
C the other classmates' D other classmates'

    Thank you in advance.

Which one do you think is correct?!

(Note: the question is badly worded as every choice includes the word "classmates" but is then followed by "in his class". "In his class" is completely unnecessary as "classmates" are clearly people in his class!

    Re: than any other classmate's

I thought the response sounds odd. And I would think A is the answer, since 'other' is not necessary. But I'm not very sure.

I'm hoping you can help me further. Thank you again.
