Which one do you think is correct?! :-D

(Note: the question is badly worded as every choice includes the word "classmates" but is then followed by "in his class". "In his class" is completely unnecessary as "classmates" are clearly people in his class!

I thought the response sounds odd. And I would think A is the answer, since 'other' is not necessary. But I'm not very sure.
