Would you be kind enough to revise the following sentences?
In my opinion, the combination in bold can be translated differently, but usually suggest a certain concession or reluctance due to some reason stated or understood.
I might as well go now, the rain has stopped.
You might as well tell the truth, for lying won’t get you anywhere.

The first could mean a couple of things- there's no reason to stay now that the ran has stopped, so things could be negative in that place or the person had been waiting for the rain to stop.
The second means 'you have nothing to lose by telling the truth' to me.
