    which - singular or plural

He has given me two figures for the total and I am wondering which of the figures are correct.

Do we use a plural or singular?

    thank you

    The singular is used.

If you consider that what it is actually saying is "I wonder which ONE of the figures is correct" then it's probably clearer that it should be singular. You would never say "I wonder which one are correct"!
