    What month is this month?

    Hello teachers,
    Can you please help me?

    1)What month is this month?
    2)What month is next month?

I know grammatically the above sentences are correct but do they sound funny? If they do, please tell me the correct way to ask about months.

    Thank you.

What month is this/it/are we in? (This last one's tricky for francophones, who tend to omit the 'in'.)

What month is it next month?

Good question. Your versions, as you say, sound funny.

PS - I underlined the 'it' in the last one, but it's not stressed. I just wanted to emphasize how nearly right you were. The stress, as you might expect, is on the first 'month'.
