Here we go:

1) I am also strongly motivated to pursue my efforts in learning Portuguese.
2) I am also strongly driven by pursuing my efforts in learning Portuguese.

To me the second sounds better...

Thanks again for those who will take time to answer :)
Cheers,

1) I am also strongly motivated to pursue my efforts in learning Portuguese.
2) I am also strongly driven by pursuing my efforts in learning Portuguese.

Using "pursue" with my efforts just doesn't sound right, although I don't have a explanation for that at my fingertips. :-| If this is for a cover letter or other type of application, the word "efforts" makes the statement weaker anyway.

You could reword each of those sentences as below:
1) I am also strongly motivated (by a desire) to pursue the study of Portuguese.
2) I am also strongly driven to pursue the study of Portuguese.

(For my own interest, and perhaps to help with the sentence: Comment est-ce qu'on le dirait en francais?...)
(You're welcome to correct my French, a propos!)

I am motivated by something (desire/passion/greed/jealousy/etc) or somebody.

I am driven to do something.

I can't help feeling that the sentences sound a bit excessive.
