    Hello

Could anyone explain the difference of "sorry for" and "sorry about"?

Re: sorry for vs sorry about

    Hi Takoyaki,

Sorry for suggest sympathy, pity or remorse.

    Example:

    He felt sorry for her.

Sorry about suggest concerning, regret or disappointment.

    Example:

I am sorry about giving you bad news.

In a similar way, we can use sorry for to express responsibility.

    Example:

    Sorry for doing something.

    Regards,
