    values or morals?

the Olympic games lost their religious......after the Romans conquered Greece.

    sense-
    morals -
    values -
    meaning

    I may prefer 'morals.
    What about you?
    Thanks in advance.

Only a person can have morals, so I would say it's impossible for "the Olympic Games" to lose its morals. I would be inclined to say that the same is true of "values" - really, only people can have values.

Of the remaining two, I'd have to go for "meaning". It is certainly the case that the ancient Olympics were of great religious importance which did indeed only change when the Romans took over.
