Re: What is speaking in general?

Speaking in general means it applies to most things, without being specific.

Something that is true "in general" might not be true in a specific situation.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Is it right to say "general speaking" and/or "generally speaking"?

General speaking we have no problem at the end of a day of work.
Generally speaking we have no problem at the end of a day of work.

    Thanks.
