There is a term which I believe to be french that is used in English to describe a disagreement between two people.
It sounds like "con tra tore". i.e. We had a "con tra tore" on that occasion also.
An inability to agree, an argument? Anyone know of this term?
It can be heard in use at the 1:00minute mark in this clip YouTube - Alastair Campbell on the infamous encounter with Adam Boulton
thanks
