    Cool HELP- AdverbClauses

    Hi i have a question about... adverb clauses
    directions: adentify the adverb clause and write the verb/verbphrase it modifies

    QUESTION
    When he got of the train, the streets were deserted.
    I will work all day unless I get a call from dad.
    I hope Ken will visit us when he is in town.
    Plenty of leftovers remain because serveral people did not come to the party.

    (1) Some teachers say that they prefer that you do your homework first and then post the answers here for possible correction.

    (2) But maybe the teachers will not be angry with me if I give you a hint (help).

    (3) I shall ask a question about each of your sentences. Then you try to identify the adverb(ial) clause. OK?

    I work all day except that I do not work all day if what happens?

    When do I hope Ken will visit us?

    Why are there so many leftovers?
