Where is Gary? Gary is at the library studying or Gary is studying at the library.

Which is the correct answer?

Either order is correct, but I think I'd put a comma after "library" in the first one.

The overall meaning is identical - a shade of difference could be that the first emphasizes where he is, and the second emphasizes what he's doing.

Both are correct. However, you can't write "Gary is at the library studying." It is grammatically incorrect, requiring the use of a punctuation mark.

Hello Ibski,
As Barb said, they're both correct and mean exactly the same thing without any additional punctuation. However, by adding a comma after library, you change the emphasis.
