"THE TRACK DRUGSTORE ON SUNSET AND LARRABEE, DR. POBERS, A DOCTOR, WOULD PUT A PRESCRIPTION IN EVERY DAY"

What's "sunset and larrabee"?? Is it a name of a street? The script is all in italics. So I don't knw if it's capitalized.

Thanks a lot.

Yes. I suspect it is an address where twwo streets intersect.

 Do the italics last throughout the 'and'. If so, either it's a typo (an easy one to make, as it saves on <i> tags!) or it's a sort of 'personalized' address (as there are a possible four properties at the intersection).

I'll give you a UK-ized example (but we don't refer to intersecting roads in that way). In Reading, there is an intersection called 'Jackson's Corner'. Only one of the corner properties is the shop called 'Jackson's'. Similarly - and with contemporary relevance because of the film - there is a junction in Reading called 'Cemetery Junction' - but the junction isn't surrounded by cemeteries.

In the US, we do this all the time.

At the corner of 4th and Elm.

At Jackson and Chestnut.

Sure, it could be four different locations, but at that point, you should be able to look at each of the corners and find the store/building references.

***** NOT A TEACHER *****

Good morning, Maiabulela.

(1) Finally, a question that I can answer with 100% confidence!!!!

(2) On/at the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Larrabee St. in West Hollywood,

California. That is where the two streets intersect. Larrabee is a small

side street, and Sunset is a major street that runs from downtown Los Angeles

to the city of Santa Monica on the Pacific Ocean. That's where the "sun

sets" every evening.

(3) From your questions, I know that you are reading many books about

the movie industry. I believe there is a famous movie called "Sunset

Boulevard" about the life of a old-time movie star. I think you might enjoy

it.

Have a nice day!
