Can I say 'I will be 30 in July' or I should say 'I'm going to be 30 in July'.
I think know the rules for future forms, but I can't decide which is the best here.Maybe both are good depending on the context?
tahnks a lot,
Personally, I would use "I'm going to be 30 in July" if it's the first mention of the topic.
However, I would use "I'll be 30 in July" in the middle of a conversation about birthdays, or turning 30, or July...
A. "I'm going to be 30 in July. When's your birthday?"
B. "I'll be 27 in April."
A. "July is such a boring month. Nothing exciting happens."
B. "I'll be 30 in July - that's exciting!"
Does that make sense?
thank you very much, I think I see the point
