Is 'that' a strong /ðæt/ or weak /ðət/ form when 'that' is used for showing how big or how much ?

For example :

I need a piece of rope about that long
There was only that much left in the bottle

Thanks

I'd use the strong form in both those examples- it's conveying meaning.

Agreed... we'd only use a weak form when a subordinating conjunction is clearly meant and fully expected, such as "You're the one that I want" (Grease).
