    Hello,teachers! Is this conversation correct?

Hello, teachers! Is this conversation correct? If it's wrong, how to ask? Thank you!

A: What is he's short for?
B: It's short for he is.

    Perfect.

Though you could complete the use of contractions by making the first word "What's..."

Edit - as 2006 has entirely correctly pointed out, "he's" is also short for "he has"!

B: It's short for 'he is' and 'he has'.

He's eighty years old. (He is...)
He's been waiting for two hours. (He has...)
