    Unhappy grilla

I am reading a book and there is one word that I didn't understand.. coudn't find the meaning ...

A little girl is talking to his father...

''I think I want a dinosaur. I want a seal, too, to keep in the bathtub.

I tell him this, and he laughs. '' I know what you want grilla, '' he says, and then he swings me ito his arms.

what is the grilla... is it something like my dear... sweethart etc.
    how could I translate this
