What do you think about that?

the case is that I don't know the meaning of the words. Then my friend suggested me and said,
    "..........................., of course!"
    Which one is correct...

    • consult a dictionary( I answer it )
    • consulting a dictionary( my first teacher )
    • that should be consulted by dictionary( my second teacher)

as for me, the blank should be an imperative sentence that showed by exclamation mark ( ! ), so that we must put infinitive firstly.
What do you think about that?

If I have understood your post correctly, you were wondering what to do if you don't know the meaning of a word. You asked a friend, and your friend's advice was "....................., of course!"

If that is the case, then "Consult a dictionary, of course!" would be correct. It is a slightly abbreviated version of "I think you should consult a dictionary. That's the obvious thing to do".
