    Smile Formal letter to the boss for requesting new position

    Hi Everyone,
    Plz help me write a formal request letter sending to my boss. He promises me that he will assigned me a new position after I finish my project. Now the project is ending and I want to remind him about that. I want to set an appointment with him to discuss about it.
    Here is my raw letter, plz help me to correct and modify it so that my boss can fully understand what I want to tell him.

    "Dear sir,
    It has been a long time since our first meeting.As your suggestion, I had worked for ABC project for about 6 month as a member of EF team.That's was a great pleasure for me to working here and I gained a great deal of experience with this role.
    Now the project is almost closed, so I think it comes to the time we disscuss about my next role in our company.As I already told you before,my goal is to working in a more tecnical environment and the role of integration engineer should suit me more..
    Plz let me know the time and date that suit you,

    I believe it is more appropriate to write: "Since I have already told you..." instead of saying "As I already told you..."

    It is more eloquent and really appeals to the person that is reading. The Present Perfect, as well as the Passive Voice, are the most formal ways to express respect and politeness.
