I tried to make a sentence with these 5 words (palpitate, palatable, intrepid, matron, inception).

Would you please let me know if the sentence is correct and if it could be written in a better way?

I appreciate any comments even about the way I wrote my question.

The matron was palpitating when she entered the strange restuarent, but she tried to look intrepid from inception and ordered a palatable dish.

Hello, Moosavian.

(1) Congratulations! You have worked very hard and written a very

nice sentence.

(2) I think (my opinion only) that you have used some words that

probably should be used in other kinds of sentences.

(3) I think that most native speakers would suggest that you use

other words.

(4) Maybe something like:

Although the lady felt very fearful when she entered the strange

restaurant, she immediately found the courage to act very

self-confident as she sat down and ordered a delicious dish.

(5) Be careful with the word "matron." Sometimes that means

an older woman. If you use this word, you might hurt a woman's

feelings.

***** Thank you *****

Is this a correct place for asking this kind of question? Can I ask more question of this type here?
