    back it up

    "She always talk a big game, but never back it up"

    I can't get that sentence. I got though that "big game" here means "she talks with so confidence" or something like that. So what does "back it up means"

    NOT A TEACHER.

    "She never backs it up" means that she doesn't follow through on what she says she'll do; her words aren't followed by actions. For example, if I say I'm going to crush you in a game of table tennis but then lose to you, you could say that I didn't back up my words.
