Dear Jasmin , you haven't corrected anything except the fact that you copied it again.

It is taken from secondary last year:oops: exam.

find the mistake

. I'm sure there's no secret between you and I.

It will be 'me' instead of 'I'.

**Neither a teacher nor a native speaker.**

You didn't copy it in a correct way.
the sentence is

. I'm sure there's no secret between you and I.

"Me" is already correct.
(It's between you and me.)

You and me = objects here -> I'm 95% sure!

Cheers!

Thanks a lot. I'd like to draw the attention to the fact that (no) precedes either plural countable nouns or uncountable ones.Accordingly, the word (secret) which is a countable noun can not be used like that after no. I'm sure you'll be convinced if you transform the sentence into its positive form. RSVP

So you knew what you thought the problem was the entire time?

It is possible to have a singular noun. It requires the right context. It would be used emphatically after another person suggested (or perhaps insisted) that something existed and you wanted to firmly say it did not.

I agree that it's more common to have the plural, but it's a mistake to insist that it's an error to have the singular.

So you want to say that:
There is no secret between you and me. :cross:
There is a secret between you and me.
:cross:
There is not any secret between you and me. :tick:
There is some secret between you and me.
:tick:
:?:

I'm sorry, but this is very exaggerated!
Furthermore I doubt this statement is true.
In my opinion all 4 sentence should be okay!
(And to be honest: I would never use sentence 3 or 4...)

Cheers!

What do you think of the word(secret)? Is it countable or uncontable?
Thanks in anticipation.
