[Grammar] Is this sentence correct?

As I grew up, I started to realize why I like video games so much.





I didn't change "like" to "liked" because my sister told me if you still like video games at the moment, then I should keep it as present tense. Is she right?

You could use the present or the past tense. Using the past tense does not mean you do not like video games now.
