I came here to get my supervisor's cell phone

    Dear All,

Would you please tell me whether I used the verb "came" in the sentence below correctly?

My supervisor asked me to go to a boss's office named Jake to get his cell phone. So, when I got there I said "I came here to get my supervisor's cell phone".

    Many thanks.

It's fine, though you don't really need the word "here". You can just say "I came..." or "I have come..."
