Dear All,

Would you please tell me whether I used the verb "came" in the sentence below correctly?

My supervisor asked me to go to a boss's office named Jake to get his cell phone. So, when I got there I said "I came here to get my supervisor's cell phone".

It's fine, though you don't really need the word "here". You can just say "I came..." or "I have come..."
