    The track has a great piece of guitar.

    A track in a musical compact disc?
    It probably means 'a great guitar piece'. Piece' as in musical piece or composition.

    A "guitar piece" would be a composition specifically written for the guitar. However, I think the OP was probably talking about one track on an album and it's quite likely pop/rock music (or something similar).

    I would say "The guitar on that track is/sounds amazing!"
