    need clarification on word 'help'

    Which of the following sentence is correct?

    1.I will help you to do the job.
    2.I will help you do the job.

    (1) I think that grammar books tell us that both are correct after "help."

    (a) You may use the "to" if you wish to use it.

    (i) Since you are a learner, I strongly suggest that you use the

    "to" -- especially in conversation.
