    usage of which

    Hey guys,

The following is an extract from a certain contract and I am not sure what ''of which'' indicates and means.

    - The parties, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, agree as follows -

This is a real confusion for me so would any of you clarify this?

    Thanks

    Re: usage of which

thanks for your detaile explanation, which is of great help with me.

So you mean ''the receipt and sufficiency of which '' refers to '' the receipt of and sufficiency of money ''?

    Re: usage of which

I don't know how to thank you, cuz it was a real tough thing for me to have a full understanding, and the key to completely understand it seems to be what the consideration means.

Thank you for all your detailed explanation.
