Removed / took my letter from the envelop

    Hi,

    Question:

Should I use "removed" or "took"?

    Sentence:

When my classmate used my envelop, he removed / took my letter from my envelop and put my letter in my draw without telling me.

    My opinion:

    Took is better.

    Thanks

You're right - took is better.

    (You mean envelope and drawer.)

    Why?
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
