    Smile Rolor

Hi! The sentences below are from a children's story.
In the story, Amanda bought a crow and named it Rolor.
(The crow doesn't like Amanda, and bites her often.)
I can't follow David's respond. Is there any other meaning in the word, Rolor? Or David just meant he thought Amanda called it some other bad name because it bit her? Please help!!!

"Rolor is the name of my Familiar. It's a word of Power from an old magic chant about crows," said Amanda.
"Rolor is the crow's name?" David asked.
"Yeah. But I haven't started calling him that yet. I'm waiting until we establish communication."
"I'll bet you called him some other things when he bit you."

Yes - you're right. This is what it means.
