    liven up

    Hello,

Could someone tell me if the word 'liven up' is the correct one for this sentence:

'I love when nature livens up in spring.'

    thank you very much,

    Yes, it's good.

This term is often used for people.
E.g. your friends are lounging around watching TV, half asleep.
You say, "Come on, guys, liven up! We were going to practice football this afternoon!"

It's also used in advertisements and articles:
"How to liven up your cooking/ your sex-life/ your wardrobe ..."
