A woman whoes husband recently died is writing to someone. Will she use I AM ***'s wife or I WAS ***'s wife?

Also, what about "she told me that Walmart IS/WAS the biggest company in the world". IS OR WAS?

The turnover off year 2000 IS/WAS USD900,000. IS OR WAS?

THANK YOU.

I would suggest "I am *****'s widow".

Also, what about "she told me that Walmart IS/WAS the biggest company in the world". IS OR WAS?

It depends on the time period that the person was talking about.

The turnover off year 2000 IS/WAS USD900,000. IS OR WAS?

The year 2000 is in the past, therefore the company's turnover for the year WAS $900,000 US.

THANK YOU.

See above.
