    (They were angry to the point of erupting into riot.)
    Did they finally erupt into riot?
    Pls kindly help me with this, thans a lot.

    It's not certain whether they did or they didn't.

    This expression shows the intensity of something, usually psychological reactions. I would say it means: to be at a point where something can happen or it has the potential to happen. So it pretty much depends on the subsequent sentences. Point here has a close meaning to verge.
