    2) If we do not keep ourselves informed of current events and have no enough knowledge of our society, we will...

    Which of the above is right? If neither, please show me the right one.

    They are both right.

    In (1) we are expecting others to keep us informed; in (2) we accept that we need to make an effort ourselves to find out.
