Exchange for and exchange. These two word got me confused.

I want to exchange the blue shirt for/with the green shirt.So the customer service agent asked me:

1)What is the item you would like to exchange for/with?
2)What would you like to get in return/receive in return for the exchange?

The first is better, though I'd ask 'What would you like to exchange it for?.
