    British humour fiction

    Dear teacher,
I'm looking for some interesting humorous book to read (novels or short stories collenctions) for my dissertation about British humour. The book in question should have the following characteristics:

    - British contemporary author
    - not black or cringe humour
    - not too vulgar
    - not about politics

Do you have any suggestions? Don't worry if any precise titles occur to you, I just need the name of some nice British contemporary author and then I can do some research by myself. Thank you in advance for your help!!!

    Bye

    You could try David Lodge.
