    Are the following senetnces acceptable?

    1. Tina continually implored her mom to approve her notion of keeping the cat as a pet.

    2. Finally, her mom unwillingly said yes with the proviso that Tina promised to keep the house neat and tidy.

    The register is inconsistent with the topic:

    1. Tina badgered her mom to let her keep the cat as a pet.

    2. Finally, her mom unwillingly agreed if Tina promised to keep the house clean.
