    61.but...as well

    These devices are also tristate , but they are bidirectional as well.Can we say but...as well? Thanks.

    Yes, "but ... as well" sound OK to me.

    There seem to be a lot of such words in that sentence.

    I don't think you need the "also."

    And the engineer in me knows that tristate need not imply unidirectionality, so I'm not sure why there is a need for the "but" at all.

    Maybe just say "the devices are both tristate and bidirectional."?

    I my eyes, also is used to connect with the above correctly.As for "but...as well " ,I agree with you.Thanks.
