A man says "This film maker has to shoot on film"

Here's the correction:

[STRIKE]A[/STRIKE] The man says, "This filmmaker (one word) has to shoot [STRIKE]on[/STRIKE] the film."

Thanks a lot for correcting :) I'm terribly sorry, I sent it before completing my question.

This is really what the man said, and yes i found the structure so weird. So I was about to ask what does he mean?

He was saying that he's differnet and like to be in real plces and don't like the green screen, etc.

Not a teacher. "Shooting" is the verb used for capturing still or motion pictures on film.

(One can contrast with "on video" which is different than film.)

But, as you say, this filmmaker is making the contrast between actually setting up his cameras and having real actors versus using computers and image simulation.
