1.If you eat the chocolate cookie made by Nestle Company
2.Sales of chocolate, made by the Nestle Company
Before Nest Company the first without the , the second with the , why? Thanks!

My immediate reaction is to say neither. We don't generally say "Nestlé Company". We would just give the name of the firm/brand.

If you eat the chocolate cookies made by Nestlé...
Sales of chocolate made by Nestlé...

If we were to include the word company in the sentence, it would come before the brand name:

If you eat the chocolate cookies made by the company [called] Nestlé...

    I'll give it a shot ...

Inconsistency, 1 and 2 should either both use it or not use it.

Typically, with respect to larger corporations, we look at how that corporation refers to itself.
Having said that, if you look at Nestlé's about page,
it seems that Nestlé refers to itself simply as Nestlé, (as emsr2d2 implied)
    "At Nestlé we [...]"
    it doesn't say:
"At the Nestlé Company we [...]" or "At Nestlé Company we [...]"
Simply put, I'd have to say your original source is wrong on 2 counts, inconsistency and improper reference to Nestlé.

    James
